It has become increasingly important for companies in especially the construction industry to maintain quality assurance systems. This is essential to maintain their competitive edge, to satisfy regulatory requirements, and to meet continuous rising customer expectations.
Civcon is an accredited ISO 9001-2008 business and implements quality management systems that meet the highest levels of the applicable ISO standard adapted for the requirements for each contract. Management provides highly developed project management support to complete the client's project within the agreed timeline and prides itself on the ability to make the quality system fit the client's requirements.
A comprehensive safety manual is compiled for every project undertaken, establishing the related hazard IDs and associated risk assessment. Management is committed to zero tolerance on safety transgressions and ensures that all staff undergoes continuous safety awareness training. The use of random external safety auditing by an accredited safety consultant has become an integral part of the implementation of our safety policy.
As a leader in the industry, Civcon is always searching for ways to improve and when it was decided to have the business OHSAS 18001:2007 certified, it was successfully accomplished within seven months. This has placed Civcon in a superior league within the industry.
Being OHSAS 18001:2007 certified, demonstrates to their employees, clients and the industry that Civcon is as serious about their employees’ safety as they are about sticking to time frames, quality and service.
The business must continually improve on the management of Health and Safety, as they have continually improved on their quality of work and service over the past 30 years, and is therefore in the development and implementation stage of ISO 14001-2004.
